Client requires the services of 2 Business Analyst 2, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Business Analyst 2, Applications/SoftwareDevelopmentand the specifications outlined in this document for the client.

All work products resulting from the project shall be considered “works made for hire” and are the property of the client and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. client will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).

 

Level Description

4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area as a senior Business Analyst (Technical). Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. 2+ years of experience as a data analyst analyzing raw data using Excel, Tableau, etc.

Job Description

Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective. Familiar with industry standard business process mapping, and reengineering. Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.

Perform complex business analysis work. Work involves coordinating the gathering, development, and documentation of business requirements and analyzing requirements management methodology. Identify issues and risks on projects and initiatives. Develop test cases. Provide training on projects and business processes. Provide technical input on project documents. Communicate business processes and workflow diagrams. Identify business and project inefficiencies. Document business processes and requirements. 

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to mentor and provide consultation and direction to other Social Services Applications (SSA) staff. Required-4years
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information including regulations, policy, and automation system documentation/specifications. Required-4years
  • Ability to communicate in writing, translating user/business needs into a technical style, and communicate technical instructions to system users. Required-4years
  • Ability to plan and coordinate individual and group work activities. Required-4years
  • Ability to detect and diagnose application problems. Required-4years
  • Ability to create technical designs for solutions to problems. Required-4years
  • Ability to work professionally with a broad range of stakeholders Required-4years
