CAPPS Financial Analyst
Client requires the services of 1 Systems Analyst 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Systems Analyst 3, Applications/SoftwareDevelopmentand the specifications outlined in this document for the client.
All work products resulting from the project shall be considered “works made for hire” and are the property of the client and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law.client will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).
Currently TEA is a CAPPS HUB Agency. The goal of this position (which will be in the Finance division) is to review the current configuration instance for efficiency and to evaluate for best use cases moving forward that will may reduce workload on staff resources and increasing accuracy in reporting and reduce maintenance of the existing systems.
This will will include working with cross-divisional executives, directors and other stakeholders as directed by the CFO to review current TCAPPS business processes which will include but is not limited to:
• Coordinating the necessary functional and technical resources when collaboration is
required.
• lead analysis to re-engineer or develop processes necessary for efficient use
of the CAPPS Financial system.
• Working with business customers to gather requirements for the system and/or
process improvements and report development.
• Responsible for consistent use of project standardized processes and forms, including
but not limited to, Functional Design Documents, Key Design Decisions, Change
Controls, Risk and Issue log, Scope Documentation, Configuration Documentation, Business Process Flows, and
other project documents as needed.
• Provide input to project management to estimate the level of effort required for
customer requested activities.
• Prepare detailed documentation in support of any of the activities listed above as
requested by management.
• Complete full range of testing and configuration as needed.
• Design, Test and Build Queries to assist with business process improvement.
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with CAPPS Business Process Design/Redesign/Reingineering best practices–Required -10years
- Experience with Business/System/Data Analysis and Improvement–Required -10years
- Experience with the development of various reporting mechanisms–Required -10years
Experience with ERP/CAPPS Financials/PeopleSoft in Texas–Required -10years- Proficient with the Microsoft Windows and Office products–Required -10years
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing–Required -10years
- CAPPS GL, Commitment Control, Purchasing,E-Procurement, AP,Cash Receipts, Inv, Assets and Grants–Required -10years
- PeopleSoft Financial modules implementation and post-go live experience with an emphasis on process improvemt–Required -10years
- Leading Five (5) or more State Agency CAPPS Financial Implementations –Required -5years
- Familiar with TCAPPS configuration with TEA – Preferred-2years
