Client requires the services of 1 QA Engineer Automated 2, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of QA Engineer Automated 2, Quality Assurance (QA) and Testing and the specifications outlined in this document for the Client.

All work products resulting from the project shall be considered “works made for hire” and are the property of the Client and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Client will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).

The Software QA Engineer performs advanced and/or supervisory computer systems analysis and team lead work, administering the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the Quality Assurance (QA) section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology – Statewide Education Data System). Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems.

This position will work with the FSP development team to provide the following Software Testing Services:

1) Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed test cases

2) Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail

3) Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data

4) Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the team

5) Execute performance and accessibility testing

6) Perform manual testing and data validation

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Testing complex Web Applications – Required-7years
• Testing all phases of Software Development Life Cycle – Required-7years
• Testing automation experience with Selenium and TesING – Required-6years
• Database/SQL Language– Required-3years
• Experience with Java Programming Language– Required-3years
• Experience with tools like WAPT Pro, Jmeter, or other performance testing tools– Required-2years
• Experience in API testing (SOAP and REST)- Preferred-3years
• Previous experience with Zephyr Scale preferred -Preferred-1year
• Previous experience with JIRA preferred-Preferred-1year
