Please provide a summary of the project/initiative that this candidate will be working on? Candidate will work with PEGA team of developers and System Architect. Candidate will design, develop, and modify highly specialized Medicare & Retirement call center PEGA applications to drive Optum user efficiency and overall business success;

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position
• Drives and promotes OOTB solutioning rather than custom code
• Drives reusable architecture designs and framework layering
• Serving as a core member of an engineering team that designs and develops software applications
• Writing code and unit tests, working on API specs, automation, and conducting code reviews and testing
• Performing ongoing refactoring of code, utilizing visualization and other techniques to fast-track concepts, and delivering continuous improvement
• Working with product managers to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and managing a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues
• Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testing
• Configures Pega solutions including integrations between systems and development of automated activities

What skills/attributes are required • 5+ years’ experience of hands on development experience with PEGA versions 7.x or 8.x

What does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background, etc.)? We want to be as specific as possible with our firms so they can find the type of candidate you’re looking for. 5+ years of PRPC experience with versions like 8.2 and 8.4

• The individual holds Pega certifications as either a Senior System Architect (CSSA) or Lead System Architect (CLSA)
• Exposure to databases such as Oracle/PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server
